Meet Coran “Spardakis” Henley a Multi-instrumentalist/Producer/Audio Engineer/Music Director originally from Dayton, Ohio.

Q: Can you describe your journey as a music maker?

A: Who is Coran ‘Spardakis” Henley? Just an ordinary dude. Multi-instrumentalist/Producer/Audio Engineer/Music Director. Originally from Dayton, Ohio. I went to The Berklee College of Music here in Boston, ma. I’ve Been playing and touring before and since I left Berklee. Moved to Nashville in 2019 to tour and produce. Did that for a bit with multiple artists, then the pandemic hit and brought me back to Boston. Which was seemingly the craziest but, best decision yet. Now, working on a bunch of different production projects around the city, Nashville, ATL, and LA. Doing remote drum recording work and now some local drum sessions as well. And also expanding the work palette with adding some licenses to the belt to do some other things.

Q: How long have you known TRC?

A: I’ve known about the record Co since inception. Was built while I was in school at Berklee. Got thrown in the fire there with a full band session with vocals and no assistant my first session in the old studio A and it’s been smooth sailing ever since. Those experiences at TRC early my engineering days have equipped me to run sessions at studios all over.

Q: How’s it been going in the new TRC studios?

A: The new TRC is great. Digging the gear selection. I’ve used studios B and C a fair amount working on new singles with Louie Bello and itsyaboyKR, and they both have a vibe. I think I really favor cutting vocals in B because the WA273 and Wa2a Combo just is money for me. But, in the same token sonically C gives me a better representation of what I want to feel and hear while mixing and editing. You also can’t beat cutting vocals on an Avalon 737. Paired with the right microphone for the situation. Both are equally sweet, Depends on what I’m doing I suppose. I’m actually doing engineering sessions in studios D and A this week. So who knows which one is my favorite room, it may change. So, maybe I’ll just like them all. HA! Staff is great. Matt has always been a great dude since day one, So i’m always appreciative when I am able to use the facility.

Q: Where can we find some of your more recent projects?

A: Recent Project Rescue Me – Louie Bello ft. Jason Tucker (Produced/Mixed Mastered by Spardakis Music Productions aka ME) https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/louie-bello-releases-new-single-rescue-me-with-jason-tucker/
